Junior Reserve Officers‘ Training Corps (JROTC) programs have long been known for their focus on leadership, citizenship, and character development. However, many JROTC programs are increasingly embracing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education to offer students a well-rounded and comprehensive learning experience. STEMWorks has come alongside JROTC programs to provide curriculum, professional development, and a step-by-step plan for integrating STEM in the JROTC Leadership Academies.
Traditionally, JROTC programs have emphasized physical fitness, discipline, and military knowledge.
