The Mobile County JROTC STEM Leadership Academy will take place from Sunday, June 4 to Friday, June 9. Over 120 cadets from the Mobile County Public School System, along with surrounding city school districts will be housed at Spring Hill College for the week-long Academy. In addition to the STEM on the Ground design challenges, cadets will participate in traditional JCLC activities including drownproofing, rappelling, and land navigation training. Cadets will also get to visit local industries with a focus on advanced manufacturing. We are thankful to the U.S. Coast Guard, Mobile Area Water and Sewer, SSAB Steele, BASF Chemical, and Alabama Power’s Barry Steam Plant, as well as Bishop State Community College for opening their doors to our cadets.
